The Vertebral™ Grandos has been designed to accommodate larger and taller individuals up to 6’ 11” (with headrest) and 30 stone (190kg) in weight.

The Grandos is a complete package which includes a multi adjustable headrest and height adjustable arms with 4 way sliding arm pads as standard. The design was to provide comfort and support to the larger user in a high quality chair developed for this purpose, whilst also promoting positive posture seating by means of a multi adjustable, independent mechanism. For comfort high quality, deep foams are used in the seat and backrest as standard, whereas Orthopaedic Coil Sprung Interiors are offered as an option.

The seat depth is adjustable from 530mm to 580mm and is 580mm wide whilst the backrest has a height adjustment to 760mm and includes an Inflatable Lumbar panel as well as a ‘Delta’ fixed thoracic support.

Using heavy duty independent mechanisms, the Vertebral™ Grandos has been developed to offer Posture Positive office seating and provides full adjustability so as to allow the user to fine-tune the chair to suit their requirements. This makes the Grandos ideal for use as a Bad Back Chair due to the standard adjustability and additional options such as inflatable panels. Optional Coil Sprung Interiors

Vertebral™ Coil Sprung Seats are unique and exceptionally comfortable, providing support and reducing fatigue particularly when seated at a desk or computer for long periods, they reduce and probably more importantly equalise the pressure on the sciatic nerve, sacroiliac joints and pelvic girdle, three of the most common causes of back pain in sedentary workers, other than injury. The result is a reduction in the levels of stress on the bodies’ structure. They have a positive posture benefit encouraging core stability and provide incomparable weight distribution providing a reduction in spinal compression. Another and important benefit is that air circulates through the coil matrix helping the user to stay cool and comfortable.

Vertebral™ Coil Sprung Backrests reduce and equalise the pressure on the users back. As the springs react to body movement a gentle massage occurs and consequently increases blood-flow. Increased blood-flow is an important factor in the treatment of reducing the effects of back pain. As with the seats the backrests are cooler due to air circulation within the coil matrix.

Specifically designed for Larger and Taller people the Grandos is manufactured to Verd OS specification in the UK by Craftsmen.
